It is the anniversary of when I began to learn to crochet and so I have been hooking for 2 whole years! I have learnt so much and there is still so much I could learn. And I like to learn! Many people have said to me they WANT to learn...well go on! Do it! You need a ball of 8ply yarn and a 4mm hook. No one to teach you? Try the internet. That is how I learnt. The brilliant thing is that there are so many tutorials online and on YouTube aimed at the beginner. Classes were not possible due to my being housebound and because I just didn't have the $75 an hour fee for the group class! There are also craft groups around. Hunt them down in your local area... or start one! Try Meetup: meet people in your local community who share your interests. I am a member of a couple groups and go to these social meetings when my health allows. And have you considered asking your friends and family if anyone knows anyone who could teach you?? This project is quite simple and even beginners can learn to make a granny square. Here are some photos of my Just Little Things Blanket 365 Days project where I make one square a day with the colour representing something I want to remember or celebrate. I hope it inspires you to get crafty!
