I have been invited by Cattleyard Promotions to help spread the love and promote crochet, knitting and yarnbombing on November 19 2016 at the THE PLOT Parramatta Music Festival (Instagram @theplotau) supported by triple j.
My inspiration is the 1960s music festivals: the colours, flower power, peace signs, and love hearts we associate with hippies. It's perfect for spreading love and kindness and sharing it through yarn. It may seem like a small thing, but together every bit of happiness we create is a good thing, so I invited other crafters to contribute to the project (via Instagram and Facebook).
We chose bright, happy colours that say 60s psychedelic or flower child. Think hot pink, lime, orange, purple, turquoise, yellow.
Some of the installations pieces include:
This is going to be awesome!
