Bee-utiful Bee Appliqué Crochet Pattern

I used 8ply yarn and a 3.75mm hook, but a 4mm would do too.
Yarn in black, yellow and white.
Yarn needle
Scissors
US terms
Ch - chain
Sc - single crochet
Hdc - half double crochet
Sl st - slip stitch
Do not crochet into the chain 1 at the beginning of each round. It is not to be considered a stitch.
BODY
1. With black Chain 3
2. Sc in 2nd chain from hook, 2 sc in last chain. (3 stitches)
3. Ch 1, turn Sc 3 (3)
4. Ch 1, turn. 2 sc, sc, 2 sc (5)
Change to yellow
5. Ch1, turn
6. 2 sc, sc 4 (6)
7. Ch 1, turn. Sc 6. (6)
Change to black.
8. Ch 1, turn. Sc 6. (6)
9. Ch 1, turn. Sc 6. (6)
Change to yellow
10. Ch 1, turn. Sc 4, skip 1 stitch, sc in end stitch (5).
11. Ch 1, turn. Sc 3, skip 1 stitch, sc in end (4).
Change to black
12. Ch1, turn. Sc 4 (4)
14. Ch 1, turn. Sc 4 (4)
15. Ch 1, turn. Sc, hdc, hdc, then sl st into the end stitch. Finish off. Weave in ends.
WINGS
1. With white ch 7.
2. Sl st into 2nd ch from the hook, sc, hdc, dc, (dc and hdc), sc then sl st into the same stitch. Continue on without ending off.
3. Ch 7, Sl st into 2nd ch from the hook, sc, hdc, dc, (dc and hdc), sc then sl st into the same stitch. Finish off. Leave a long tail for sewing. Weave in the other end.
4. Cross wings over each other to look like the photograph. Stitch together at the base with a couple of stitches.
5. Stitch to the front of the bee as shown in the photo.
EYE
Sew an eye onto the bee using a darning needle with a couple of stitches or a French knot if desired.
ANTENNAE
With black yarn in a darning needle thread yarn through so both ends show. Fasten with a couple of stitches before pulling both through and placing a knot in the yarn approximately 1cm from the bee's head. (See photo)
